And what if the story of all ancestors is not interesting or is not needed, is it possible to find out the story of one person?
Often this question is asked in order to obtain documents for obtaining citizenship or confirming/refuting family stories and legends about a particular person.
I can say that the preliminary analysis cannot answer the questions:
“Is my grandparents’ nationality listed in a document? If it’s written, then let’s ask for a certificate and go to the archives… “
“Will I have an interesting bloodline? Were there nobles, celebrities in my family? Have I inherited family treasures?”
We can find out the answer to these questions only by requesting (correctly!) certificates and conducting the research itself on the information of interest.
How to find my ancestors in Ukraine
Our genealogists can help find this information about your ancestors:
- what property your ancestors owned;
- how much taxes were paid;
- what positions they held;
- what was the social origin (peasants, Cossacks, priests, nobles, artisans, military, bourgeois);
- what and how much they earned a living;
- what religion was practiced;
- how they took part in significant historical events and much more.
From archival documents you will learn the details of the biography of ancestors who lived in the XVIII-XX century. This research can be a separate line of study of family history or supplement the data collected during the compilation of the lineage.
Also, our historians will help to find documentary information about the work, military service, education, public, political activities of relatives in the 19th – 20th centuries.
Searching family records
During our work of genealogical research, we will study archival documents, ancient newspapers, books, magazines. As an additional option, we will visit the villages in which the ancestors lived, where we will interview local old-timers, local historians, ethnographers.
Using this service, you will learn many details of the life of your ancestors. We will prepare a package of discovered documents. They will be valuable exhibits in the home archive. They will be read with interest by many generations of your relatives and descendants.
Learn more about yourself by studying the lives of your predecessors!
